DALIGATE allows you to dim and switch all lights up and down simultaneously over the full range of up to 64 DALI addresses.
Standard & TW Standard (21380 & 21382);
Fast Group and TW Fast Group (21431 & 21432)
DALIGATE will recognize DALI devices and add them to the first free dimmer. The following DALI devices are added via a subsequent learning process, etc.
For detailed explanations see the following tabs; STANDARD / FAST GROUP / RESET
Within the STANDARD profile, up to 8 Dali lights will be automatically recognized by DALIGATE. After learning, you can rename the dim sliders in the Casambi app. You can place more than 8 lights, but you will have no control over who goes where. For those types of installations it is better to use the FAST GROUP profile.
1) Place your Dali lights and connect the Dali wires from the DALIGATE.
2) Turn on the Dali lights.
3) Now power up the DALIGATE (24-48VDC). DALIGATE will now search on the Dali bus whether there are lights that can be linked to the dim sliders.
4) The lights A-H are now linked to the dimmers. Click on the Entity Icon for 1 second. If necessary, change the name of the dimmers.
The learning process below also applies to the TW profile (TW, however, covers up to 4 groups)
1) Place your Dali lights and connect the Dali wires from the DALIGATE.
2) Turn on the Dali lights.
3) Now power up the DALIGATE (24-48VDC). DALIGATE will now search on the Dali bus whether there are lights that can be linked to the first dim slider (G0 (Group0))
4) The 3 lights A are now linked to Group 0 (G0). Click on the Entity Icon for 1 second, the first slider will control the lights A. If necessary, change the name of the group.
5) Remove power from the system and install the following lights B.
You should always serve during subsequent learning processes at least 1 spot of previously learned groups connected because otherwise DALIGATE thinks that group is free for use!
6) Turn on the Dali lights
7) Now power up the DALIGATE (24-48VDC). DALIGATE will now search on the Dali bus whether there are new lights that can be linked to the next free dim slider, in this case (G1 (Group1)).
8) The 3 lights B are now linked to the next free group (G1). Click on the Entity Icon for 1 second, the second slider will control the lights B. If necessary, change the name of the group.
9) Repeat the procedure for subsequent lights. You can learn up to 8 groups in total with a maximum of 64 lights. To reset the system, see the following TAB; 'reset'.
You can delete the learned Dali addresses with DALIGATE. Power up the system. Afterwards, you must quickly slide the lights from 0 to 100% in the Casambi app several times, so you do not open the Icon but dim all underlying dimmers via the Icon itself, Casambi's own. At first the lights will start to respond, but at some point they will all be on at 100% and stop responding. This resets the Dali lights and drivers. It may be necessary to quickly dim the lights on and off up to 20 times, but usually the reset is accomplished earlier depending on the number of Dali addresses.
