Entity Casambi Voice works the same as number 32 at the SIGNAL INTERFACES with the addition that you can now also create a link via WIFI to activate the connected DALI lights on the bus (ONLY FROM THIS DEVICE) using voice commands. So you cannot reach other Casambi lights via voice. The PDF contains detailed instructions.

You can use DALIGATE from the Italian Entity to easily assign DALI lights to groups. After you have done this, the DALIGATE remains in place and you operate everything using the Casambi app and/or linked push buttons. In many cases you already have 48VDC at your disposal, for example from the rail. In other cases you will need to purchase a small 24VDC power supply. The DALI output is powerful enough to power up to 64 lights that you can divide into up to 8 groups.

If you want to work with scenes, you must take into account that calling up 'scene 1', for example, always puts all (8) dimmers in the status of the previously programmed 'scene 1', or you cannot exclude dimmers. These types of Casambi devices are usually used for lights in one room. If you are not going to work with scenes but, for example, you are going to link the dimmers to Enocean switches, the above does not apply. The 1 dimmers can be found under 'Elements' in the Casambi app.

If desired, you can also use DALIGATE as a simple DALI configurator, with the final control subsequently arranged by third parties. You can then do the Casambi commissioning at your office and send the DALI devices trained and labeled!

Broadcast (21381);
DALIGATE allows you to dim and switch all lights up and down simultaneously over the full range of up to 64 DALI addresses.

Standard & TW Standard (21380 & 21382);
DALIGATE will recognize connected DALI devices and add them to the dimmers where the addressing is random.

Fast Group and TW Fast Group (21431 & 21432)
DALIGATE will recognize DALI devices and add them to the first free dimmer. The following DALI devices are added via a subsequent learning process, etc.

Within the STANDARD profile, up to 8 Dali lights will be automatically recognized by DALIGATE. After learning, you can rename the dim sliders in the Casambi app. You can place more than 8 lights, but you will have no control over who goes where. For those types of installations it is better to use the FAST GROUP profile.

1) Place your Dali lights and connect the Dali wires from the DALIGATE.

2) Turn on the Dali lights.

3) Now power up the DALIGATE (24-48VDC). DALIGATE will now search on the Dali bus whether there are lights that can be linked to the dim sliders.

4) The lights A-H are now linked to the dimmers. Click on the Entity Icon for 1 second. If necessary, change the name of the dimmers.

The learning process below also applies to the TW profile (TW, however, covers up to 4 groups)

1) Place your Dali lights and connect the Dali wires from the DALIGATE.

2) Turn on the Dali lights.

3) Now power up the DALIGATE (24-48VDC). DALIGATE will now search on the Dali bus whether there are lights that can be linked to the first dim slider (G0 (Group0))

4) The 3 lights A are now linked to Group 0 (G0). Click on the Entity Icon for 1 second, the first slider will control the lights A. If necessary, change the name of the group.

5) Remove power from the system and install the following lights B.
You should always serve during subsequent learning processes at least 1 spot of previously learned groups connected because otherwise DALIGATE thinks that group is free for use!

6) Turn on the Dali lights

7) Now power up the DALIGATE (24-48VDC). DALIGATE will now search on the Dali bus whether there are new lights that can be linked to the next free dim slider, in this case (G1 (Group1)).

8) The 3 lights B are now linked to the next free group (G1). Click on the Entity Icon for 1 second, the second slider will control the lights B. If necessary, change the name of the group.

9) Repeat the procedure for subsequent lights. You can learn up to 8 groups in total with a maximum of 64 lights. To reset the system, see the following TAB; 'reset'.

You can delete the learned Dali addresses with DALIGATE. Power up the system. Afterwards, you must quickly slide the lights from 0 to 100% in the Casambi app several times, so you do not open the Icon but dim all underlying dimmers via the Icon itself, Casambi's own. At first the lights will start to respond, but at some point they will all be on at 100% and stop responding. This resets the Dali lights and drivers. It may be necessary to quickly dim the lights on and off up to 20 times, but usually the reset is accomplished earlier depending on the number of Dali addresses.
