Light team LIGA.AIR.4IN.8OUT.240 is a watertight cast block that you connect to 230VAC. There are four potential-free inputs and eight 48VDC outputs that you may load up to 50mA and these are galvanically isolated from the mains.

OVERVIEW OF CONFIGURATION LIGA.AIR.4IN.8OUT.240

Light team LIGA.AIR.4IN.8OUT.240 ends up in the Casambi lamp field as follows;

Casambi APP display of LIGA.AIR.4IN.8OT.240

Connection voltage; 230 V.
The inputs and outputs are galvanically isolated from the 230V network and therefore safe.

(PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS APPLIANCE ONLY WORKS ON EVOLUTION AND NOT CLASSIC!)

Outputs;
There are 8 digital outputs available that are switched with the voltage "U" applied by you.
For example, you can take a 24VDC supply and connect the - to the Common (that is the black wire of the 10-core ribbon cable). Note that the applied voltage must be between 5VDC and 48VDC. Each output therefore switches the - of the applied voltage whereby you connect the + to the load (relay) to be switched and also to the brown (DK) wire.

It is possible to switch different voltages. For example, you can use a 24VDC "U1" on the outputs 1/4 while switching on the outputs 5/8, for example 48VDC "U2". The - of both power supplies are then connected to the Common (black) while the + of the highest voltage "U2" is also connected to DK (brown wire). If you would connect the lowest + voltage to the DK (brown wire), this could cause permanent damage to the internal "flyback diodes". These diodes ensure that light inductive loads (relays) can be connected safely.

The load to be switched may take up a maximum of 50mA, or you switch small auxiliary relays which in turn switch larger loads. If you would load all outputs to a maximum, a total current of 8 x 50 = 400mA will flow through the black wire (common). If this current value is exceeded, the safety "F" will interrupt the current. This fuse is of the "PTC" type and self-resetting if connected within the specs.

What can be a handy way of switching is that you are going to control Solid State Relay (SSR). An SSR has no real contacts but an electronic contact that starts conducting as soon as it is controlled by the output of the LIGA.AIR.4IN.8OUT.240. Solid State Relays can switch small but also very large currents (eg 20A or 40A) while they themselves are controlled with eg 24VDC / 7mA (see that as the 'coil voltage'). Omron G3PA220B, for example, is a 20A SSR. You do not hear an SSR switching on or off because there are no moving parts and there is no chance of contacts burning in and therefore also suitable for dusty environments. Many SSRs switch to the '0' passage, that is another (technical) story and on request we will of course explain everything to you during our technical training courses.

Inputs;
4 push-buttons can be connected to the 4 digital inputs, which you can freely program in the Casambi app. For example, you could create a scene that closes the contacts 3,5,7, 8, 1 and 4 and then call that scene with push-button XNUMX. You could then switch and dim your entire house with push-button XNUMX, everything is possible.

CONNECTION DIAGRAM LIGA.AIR.4IN.8OUT.240

By default, this device comes with the profile "L"
If you click on the icon in the lamp field, all outputs will switch on or off at the same time. If you keep pressing the icon, however, the field below will open where you can switch all outputs individually. Attention please; if you switch ALL LAMPS in the lamp field of the app or on a switch, all outputs of this device WILL switch.

The next profile you can choose is "L.1"
If you click on the icon in the lamp field, nothing will happen. However, if you keep pressing the icon for a while, the field below will open where you can switch all outputs individually. Attention please; if you switch ALL LAMPS in the lamp field of the app or on a switch, all outputs of this device will NOT switch.

The following profile is "S + T"
If you click on the icon in the lamp field, nothing will happen. However, if you keep pressing the icon for a while, the field below will open where you can switch the first 4 outputs on and off. You can use the following 4 outputs as push-buttons either; 'as long as you keep pressing the push button, the contact is closed'. Attention please; if you switch ALL LAMPS in the lamp field of the app or on a switch, all outputs of this device will NOT switch.

Then we now come to profile "T"
If you click on the icon in the lamp field, nothing will happen. However, if you keep pressing the icon for a moment, the field below will open. All outputs behave as push-buttons either; 'as long as you keep pressing the push button, the contact is closed'. Attention please; if you switch ALL LAMPS in the lamp field of the app or on a switch, all outputs of this device will NOT switch.

Finally you can choose profile "T.1s"
If you click on the icon in the lamp field, nothing will happen. However, if you keep pressing the icon for a moment, the field below will open. All channels behave like "1 second" output, which means that if you give a short click, the output switches for 1 second. If you press the push button for longer than 1 second, the output will still switch for 1 second. Attention please; if you switch ALL LAMPS in the lamp field of the app or on a switch, all outputs of this device will NOT switch.

Remember that you can also connect outputs to, for example, Enocean switches or Xpress. This also applies to the pulse outputs and even the 1 sec. outputs. Also remember that you can also use 4 inputs (see tab 'more information')
